Ramban Synagogue
The oldest active synagogue in Jerusalem. This synagogue was established in 1267 by Rabbi Moses ben Nahman, better known as Nachmanides, at the age of 72. This inspired man Jews to move to Jerusalem.
Hurva Synagogue
This synagogue was originally built in the eighteenth century, but was destroyed during Israel's War for Independence and has recently been reconstructed.
Beit El Synagogue
Beit El synagogue dates back to 1737 and has been the center for Kabbalistic study in Jerusalem ever since.
Yanina Synagogue
This is the only synagogue in Israel to preserve the Romaniote Jewish Tradition, which is Judaism brought from Ioannina, Greece.

The Ades synagogue was established by Syrian Jews in 1901 and is the center for Syrian Hazzanut in Israel.
